Holtby Agri Services operates a fleet of twelve 250 hp+ tractors across 6,000 hectares of mixed arable land in North Yorkshire. Standard G1 through G4 shafts ship from bonded stock and typically arrive at any UK mainland address within 3–5 working days via overnight pallet carrier. Custom G5 and G6 configurations, or any shaft requiring non-standard splines or bespoke lengths, are usually ready within 8–10 working days of drawing approval. A 100 hp tractor at 540 rpm produces approximately 1,380 Nm of available PTO torque. For a 3-metre power harrow operating in typical Yorkshire clay soils, peak demand can reach 1,800–2,200 Nm under load. We recommend the G3 series with a friction torque limiter set to 2,200 Nm as the most appropriate configuration, providing a comfortable safety margin without premature limiter activation. All G Series shafts are supplied with a CE Declaration of Conformity referencing the UK and EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, guard compliance to EN ISO 5674:2021, and salt spray test certification to ISO 9227. The safety guard assembly — including tether chain anchors on every unit — satisfies the guard entanglement requirements of PUWER 1998 Regulation 11. For customers supplying machinery to UK end users, we can also provide a dedicated UK Declaration of Conformity in the format required post-Brexit. Custom metric and non-standard spline profiles are a regular part of our manufacturing programme. We hold tooling for DIN, ISO, and various proprietary metric spline forms and can produce new broach tooling within 10 days when a profile falls outside our standard die set. For UK industrial customers, the minimum order for a fully custom configuration is generally 2 pieces, though prototype single units can be arranged for evaluation purposes. Once a design is approved and released to production, repeat orders of the same configuration are treated as a standard product and can be fulfilled from pre-cut bar stock. Wide-angle joints on the G4 and G5 allow up to 80-degree articulation, making them well-suited to steep-terrain wood chipper drives, stump grinders on sloped ground, and harvester head drives where extreme angles are encountered during normal operation.
